At its core, death literacy refers to the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to navigate the complexities of death and dying with confidence. Having good death literacy equips you with the tools you need to feel empowered for yourself or for those close to you or in your community. It’s a powerful feeling to be confident in talking about matters of death and dying be that with palliative care, nursing home staff or funeral directors. Building our death literacy comes from connecting with others, sharing experiences, and supporting one another through life's inevitable journey.
