Aged 93 years

Barry Bede Staunton, lovingly known as ‘Gus’, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday 28th August 2025. Adored husband of Ellen. Loved father of Wayne, Mark, Jan, Marianne, Bernard, Patrick and Damian, and their partners. Proud grandfather ‘Dace’ of his grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Matthew, Thomas, James & Stephen, Nathan, Blake & Chelsea, Brooke & Cameron, Luke, Gabrielle, Sebastian, Crystal & Clancy, Jono Melanie & Adam, Caitlin & Patrick. Beloved great-grandfather ‘Dace’ of Lucas & Macie, Charlotte & Harper and Daisy.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St Patrick’s Catholic Church, Queen St. Boorowa, on Saturday 6th September 2025, commencing at 10:00 am. Following prayers after Mass, the funeral cortege will proceed to the Boorowa Lawn Cemetery, Centenary Rd. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
