Thomas James Fisher, 'Tom'

Passed on Tuesday 15th September 2026. Aged 101.

WWII serviceman in Japan at the end of the war. Resident of the Gold Coast for over 40 years. Moved to Grenfell in February of 2022 due to ill health. Past 2.5 years resident of Grenfell MPS. Passed away peacefully in his sleep after a brief medical complication.

Survived by his 7 children- Carolyn, Ken, Lawrence (Jim), Lynnette, Paul, Bruce and Raewynn. Grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather.

A Service of Thanksgiving and Celebration of Tom’s life will be held in the Grenfell Lawn Cemetery on Friday 25th September 2026, commencing at 11am. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend. An RSL Tribute Service will be conducted during the service. All ex-servicemen are invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grenfell Hospital Auxiliary. Donations will be accepted at the service.
